The Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has emphasised the importance of maintaining a strong connection with his constituents as part of his responsibilities as their representative.
According to Dr Ato Forson, effective representation goes beyond parliamentary duties and public service, requiring leaders to regularly engage with the people they represent and listen directly to their concerns.
He said interacting with constituents allows him to assess the impact of his work and better understand the issues affecting their daily lives.
“For me, serving my constituents is also about listening, connecting and hearing directly from them,” Dr Ato Forson said.
He added that such engagements help him determine whether the work being undertaken is making a meaningful difference in the lives of constituents.
“It is how I know our work is truly touching lives, and I never take that for granted,” he said.
Dr Ato Forson reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining close engagement with his constituents and ensuring that their concerns continue to inform his work as their parliamentary representative.
