Monitoring of the implementation of the Free Primary Healthcare programme in the Upper East Region is progressing, with officials from the Ministry of Health assessing the impact of the initiative at the community level.
The exercise is aimed at evaluating service delivery, identifying challenges and ensuring that residents are benefiting from the programme as intended.
As part of the monitoring process, the team led by Tony Goodman, Spokesperon to the Minister of Health are engaging health workers, local authorities, community leaders and beneficiaries to gather feedback on the implementation and identify areas requiring further attention.
Preliminary observations from the exercise have been described as encouraging, with indications that the programme is improving access to healthcare services, particularly for residents at the community level.
The ongoing monitoring is expected to help strengthen the implementation of the Free Primary Healthcare programme and ensure that challenges identified are addressed to improve healthcare delivery across the region.
