Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman for Ningo Prampram, Michael Kwetey Tetteh, has called on NDC members and supporters across Ghana to avoid complacency as the December 7 general election approaches.
Michael Tetteh made this appeal during a visit to the Greater Accra NDC, where he supported activities aimed at ensuring victory in the upcoming election. As part of his contribution, he donated over 2,000 John Mahama-branded “24-Hour Economy” T-shirts and an undisclosed but substantial amount of money.
Speaking to the Greater Accra Regional Executives during the presentation, Michael Tetteh expressed his dedication to supporting the party with the resources he could offer. He also emphasized that his assistance was not limited to Greater Accra, as he had been tasked to extend similar support to other regions and constituencies, a responsibility he has already begun fulfilling.
“I am here today to thank you for the good work you are doing to ensure NDC’s victory in the December 7 election and to contribute my widow’s mite to support the party ahead of the elections. Beyond Greater Accra, I have also been assigned to extend support to other regions and constituencies, and I have already started working on that,” he said.
In an interview with Overseeronline after the presentation, Michael Tetteh encouraged NDC supporters to work hard to secure victory for John Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates across the country.
“I would like to admonish our supporters to avoid assuming that we have already won the election. I urge NDC supporters and well-meaning Ghanaians to go out in their numbers and vote for NDC and John Mahama. The NDC can only win when we all turn out to vote, and when the victory comes, it will be a celebration for all of us,” he advised.
