An aspiring National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and board chairman of National Service Authority(NSA), Mr Okai Mintah, has begun consultations with senior party figures ahead of the party’s expected opening of nominations for its internal elections.
On Tuesday, July 28, Okai Mintah paid separate courtesy calls on the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Senanu Kwesi Djokoto, to formally inform them of his decision to contest for the National Youth Organiser position.
According to Mintah, the visits also served as an opportunity to express appreciation for the two officials’ continued support for grassroots mobilisation and youth empowerment within the party.
He used the meetings to appeal for increased support for young people in the NDC and sought their guidance, encouragement and backing as he prepares to enter the race.
Describing the engagements as productive, the aspirant said he remains committed to serving the youth of the party and contributing to efforts aimed at strengthening the NDC.
