Managing Director of National Investment Bank (NIB) PLC, Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu Zakaria, has launched a new book chronicling the bank’s turnaround journey and the leadership principles behind its transformation.
The book, titled Rebuilding Confidence, Restoring Strength: The Story Behind NIB’s Remarkable Transformation, was launched at a ceremony on July 21, bringing together policymakers, business leaders, key stakeholders, family members and friends to celebrate what organisers described as a story of resilience, leadership and institutional renewal.
Speaking at the event, Chief Dr. Zakaria shared the inspiration behind the publication, reflecting on NIB’s journey from a period of significant challenges to renewed stability and growth.
He stressed that lasting institutional transformation is driven by trust, empowered employees and a shared vision, adding that rebuilding confidence within an organisation requires disciplined leadership and collective commitment.
Delivering the keynote address, Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, described NIB’s recovery as a testament to visionary leadership and effective institutional management.
Chairman of the event, H.E. HRM Drolor Bosso Adamtey I, also commended the bank’s transformation, describing the occasion as a celebration of leadership, legacy and national impact.
The newly launched book recounts the challenges and successes that shaped NIB’s revival, highlighting the importance of resilience, strategic leadership and teamwork in rebuilding struggling institutions.
According to the author, the publication goes beyond the story of a financial institution, offering broader lessons on leadership, vision and the belief that organisations facing adversity can recover through discipline, innovation and a shared commitment to excellence.
