Larry Dogbey, the Managing Editor of The Herald newspaper has been granted bail by the court following his recent conviction and sentencing in a contempt-related matter.
The development comes after he was previously found guilty of criminal contempt of court over publications deemed to have violated a standing injunction in an ongoing defamation case brought before the High Court by Kelvin Okyere, a businessman and owner of Spring field Energy.
Details of the bail conditions have not yet been made public, but the decision means Dogbey will not remain in custody while further legal processes continue.
The case is expected to proceed in line with the court’s directives as parties consider their next steps in the matter.
