Ghana is intensifying efforts to strengthen international partnerships aimed at attracting investment into the energy sector and accelerating the adoption of renewable energy technologies, Energy and Green Transition Minister John Abdulai Jinapor has disclosed.
The Minister made the remarks following a meeting with Damilola Ogunbiyi, Chief Executive Officer of Sustainable Energy for All and Co-Chair of UN-Energy, as part of ongoing efforts to align Ghana’s energy agenda with global sustainability goals.
According to Dr Jinapor, the discussions focused on deepening collaboration between Ghana and SEforALL in areas such as energy access, renewable energy deployment, investment mobilisation and sustainable economic development.
He stressed the importance of partnerships with international organisations in supporting Ghana’s transition to a greener and more resilient energy future while ensuring reliable and affordable energy access for citizens.
“Our discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between SEforALL and Ghana as we advance our national energy and sustainable development priorities,” Dr Jinapor stated.
The Minister noted that Ghana values SEforALL’s continued support in expanding access to electricity, promoting clean energy solutions and attracting investment to drive long-term economic growth.
He added that enhancing cooperation with global partners remains critical to achieving the country’s energy transformation agenda and broader development objectives.
