Provisional results from the ongoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries indicate that former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is leading across most constituencies nationwide.
In multiple areas, including Effiduase-Asokore, Krachi West, and Dome Kwabenya, Bawumia has consistently pulled ahead of his rivals, securing hundreds of votes in key regions.
However, in a surprising development, former Assin Central MP and NPP presidential aspirant Kennedy Ohene Agyepong has outperformed Bawumia in all three Assin constituencies, including Assin South, Assin Central, and Assin North, amassing a total of 1,240 votes.
Other aspirants—Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyepong—have recorded lower numbers in most constituencies, with votes concentrated mainly in select areas.
Delegates nationwide are still casting their ballots, and final results are yet to be fully compiled. Party officials caution that these are provisional figures, and more updates will follow as the collation process continues.
