Ghana Breweries Limited, Ablekuma Farms Limited, Ashanti Cement Limited and Ghana Poultry Ltd are among 323 companies that have been struck off Ghana’s Register of Companies and declared dissolved.
The Office of the Registrar of Companies announced the dissolution in Volume 49 of the Companies Bulletin dated October 15, 2026, under Section 289(5) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).
The action follows an earlier notice of the Registrar’s intention to remove the affected companies from the register, published in Volume 40 of the Companies Bulletin.
After the statutory notice period expired without sufficient cause being shown against their removal, the Registrar proceeded to strike off the companies.
The latest notice states, “The Registrar of Companies has struck off the underlisted companies pursuant to Section 289(5) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).”
It further declares, “TAKE NOTE and NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that I have struck the underlisted names off the Register of Companies, and that the said companies stand dissolved.”
Other notable entities on the list include Ghana Rice Ltd, Ghana Plastic Industry Limited, Ghana Breweries Limited, Premier Shipping Limited, Volta Industries Limited and Aluminium Manufacturing Limited.
The 323 entities cut across several sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, construction, trading, transport, pharmaceuticals and food production.
The notice was signed by the Registrar of Companies, Maame Samma Peprah, and dated October 15, 2026, at the Companies Registry in Accra.
The Registrar also confirmed the legal basis and date of the action, stating: “Dated at the Companies Registry, Accra, this 15th day of October, 2026.”
The bulletin does not provide individual reasons for the removal of the companies or details of their respective business activities.
