The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) Limited has highlighted its comprehensive quality assurance procedures for petroleum products, emphasising the measures it undertakes to ensure that products meet required industry standards before they reach consumers.
According to TOR, petroleum products undergo a defined quality control process from the point of production through storage and ultimately to the loading gantry, where Bulk Road Vehicles (BRVs) are loaded for distribution.
The process includes product sampling, laboratory testing, regulatory verification, certification, recertification and detailed documentation.
The refinery has also opened up its operations through a documentary showcasing the various stages involved in maintaining the quality of its petroleum products.
In a statement the company said the documentary features Ghanaian professionals working across the refinery’s quality assurance processes and highlights their role in ensuring that products comply with applicable industry specifications.
TOR said quality has remained a key part of its operations for more than six decades, with the refinery continuing to uphold standards throughout its production and distribution processes.
The refinery believes the initiative will provide the public with greater insight into the technical and regulatory procedures involved before petroleum products leave its facilities.
TOR said its commitment remains focused on delivering products that meet required quality standards while maintaining the confidence of consumers and industry stakeholders.
