The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), Mr Simon Madjie, has called for stronger engagement with investors and business groups to enhance Ghana’s competitiveness and strengthen the country’s investment climate.

Mr Madjie said understanding the experiences and concerns of investors was essential to improving Ghana’s ability to attract and retain investment.

He also stressed the need for stronger partnerships between GIPA, business chambers and investor associations to promote sustained dialogue and create an environment that responds effectively to private sector needs.

He made the remarks when he met a delegation from CCI France Ghana to discuss opportunities to deepen investment cooperation between Ghana and the French business community.

The delegation comprised the Board President, Mr Guillaume Valence; Vice-President, Mr Adedamola Adelabu; and Managing Director, Ms Maxine Mamle Reindorf-Partey.

Discussions focused on Ghana’s investment landscape, priority sectors, investor aftercare and policy engagement.

The two sides also explored opportunities in technology and Artificial Intelligence, commercial farming, agro-processing, smart agriculture, manufacturing and services.

The meeting further considered the upcoming Ambition Africa programme, which brings together African and French businesses, investors, public institutions and development partners to promote investment and business partnerships.

Other areas discussed included collaboration on investor engagement, investment research and data, investor sentiment analysis, and the promotion of successful French businesses operating in Ghana.

Mr Madjie said continued collaboration with the French business community and other private sector stakeholders would be important in identifying investment opportunities and addressing challenges affecting investors.
