The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has sworn in two new members of the Governing Board of the National Communications Authority (NCA).
The newly appointed members are Prof. Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako and Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim.
Their appointments come as replacements for two deceased members of the Board and are expected to strengthen the Authority’s capacity to provide strategic direction and oversight for Ghana’s communications and digital technology sector.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, the Minister expressed confidence in the expertise and experience of the new appointees and their ability to contribute meaningfully to the work of the Board.
Prof. Gyeke-Dako brings extensive experience in academia and economics through her role as an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana Business School, while Alhaji Tanko Ibrahim contributes years of experience in public service, governance, and leadership, having served as a Member of Parliament and currently as Chairman of the Hajj Board.
The appointments are expected to bolster the NCA Board as it continues to oversee the regulation and development of Ghana’s telecommunications, communications, and digital technology landscape.
