The staff of the Ghana High Commission in Ottawa, Canada, have held a send-off reception in honour of two colleagues, Mr Simon Atieku, Head of Chancery, and Mrs Delphine Heletsi, Confidential Secretary, following the successful completion of their tours of duty.

The reception celebrated their years of service, commitment and contributions to the work and activities of the Mission.

In a message marking the occasion, the High Commissioner, Professor Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh acknowledged the dedication of the two staff members and highlighted the friendships, shared experiences and memorable moments they had built with colleagues during their time at the Mission.

The High Commissioner said their contributions would be fondly remembered and expressed appreciation for their roles as valued members of the Mission community.

The event was also attended by executives of the Ghana Canada Association in Ottawa and senior members of the Ghanaian community in the Canadian capital, who joined the Mission staff to celebrate the departing officials.

The High Commissioner thanked Mr Atieku and Mrs Heletsi for their service and wished them success, happiness and fulfilment as they begin new chapters in their lives.

The High commissioner also reaffirmed the enduring bond between the departing staff members and the Mission, noting that they would always remain part of the High Commission family.
