The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that screening and medical examinations for preselected National Service Personnel (NSPs) interested in the Basic Military Training Programme will begin on Monday, November 2, 2026.
The exercise, which is scheduled to end on Saturday, November 7, 2026, forms part of the preparatory arrangements for prospective participants ahead of the commencement of the military training programme.
In a notice, the Authority said the screening would assess the eligibility and medical fitness of personnel who had expressed interest and indicated their willingness to participate in the programme.
The NSA has consequently advised all preselected National Service Personnel to take note of the dates and make the necessary arrangements to participate in the exercise.
“All preselected personnel are therefore advised to take note of the scheduled dates and make the necessary arrangements to participate in the screening and medical examination,” the Authority stated.
The Authority has not yet announced the designated screening centres or reporting times.
However, it assured prospective participants that additional information concerning the screening arrangements would be communicated through the appropriate channels.
“Further details regarding the designated screening centres, reporting times, and other requirements will be communicated through the appropriate channels,” the notice added.
The NSA also wished all prospective participants success as they prepare for the screening exercise.
The screening and medical examination represent an important stage in determining the suitability of preselected National Service Personnel for the Basic Military Training Programme.
