A group of members of the African diaspora visiting Ghana to reconnect with their ancestry and cultural heritage has been officially welcomed by the Mantse Ankrah Royal Family in Accra.
The visitors were received on Monday by the Royal Family, led by Nii Okanta Ankrah II, during a traditional ceremony aimed at strengthening cultural ties between Ghana and people of African descent living abroad.
The visit formed part of the group’s heritage tour, which seeks to reconnect members of the diaspora with their ancestral roots while deepening their understanding of Ghana’s history, traditions and customs.
Addressing the delegation, the Mantse Ankrah Royal Family welcomed the visitors and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting cultural exchange and preserving the shared heritage that unites Ghanaians and the global African diaspora.
The visitors expressed appreciation for the warm reception, describing the experience as a significant step in reconnecting with their ancestral homeland and strengthening their bond with Ghana.
