The Ghana Law Society is set to hold its 2026 Annual Bar Conference on Wednesday, September 30, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The conference will be held under the theme “Legal Reforms: The Place of the Ghanaian Lawyer”, with proceedings scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
The event is expected to bring together key figures from Ghana’s legal and political sectors to discuss legal reforms and the role of lawyers in shaping the country’s justice system.
Among the speakers listed for the conference are President John Dramani Mahama, Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Chief Justice Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, and Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Dominic Akuritinga Ayine.
Other speakers include President of the Ghana Law Society, Charles Karpana, Director of the Kenya School of Law Patrick Lumumba, and Chairman of the 2026 Annual Bar Conference, Richard Quashigah,
The conference is expected to provide a platform for discussions on legal reforms and the contribution of the Ghanaian legal profession to the development of the country’s justice and governance systems.
