The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of a Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, Christian Nana Amponsah, popularly known as Chapter 1, at Kasoa.
The suspects are Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a female juvenile whose identity has been withheld.
The arrests mark a development in the investigation into the death of the 35-year-old vendor, who was reportedly found with multiple stab wounds at a guest house in Kasoa.
Amponsah was said to have left his shop on a Saturday with a woman before heading to the guest house.
Reports indicate that concern arose when his landlord noticed his absence and was unable to reach him. The matter was subsequently reported to the Akweley Police Station, prompting a search that led to the discovery of his body.
Before the latest update, the woman reportedly seen with the deceased had been suspected of having information about the incident, although her alleged involvement had not been established.
Police have now arrested three suspects as investigations continue to establish the circumstances surrounding Amponsah’s death and the roles, if any, played by those in custody.
