Businessman Ibrahim Mahama has revealed that his daughter, Nafisa Mahama, once stopped a fully loaded truck of cement from being delivered to him(the father) because he had not paid for the products.
Nafisa Mahama, who serves as Managing Director of Dzata Cement, reportedly insisted that her father settle the required payment before the consignment could be released.
According to Ibrahim Mahama, his daughter made it clear that the company’s policy applied to everyone, including family members, and that no payment meant no goods would be delivered.
He said the incident reinforced his belief that appointing Nafisa to manage the company was the right decision.
Ibrahim Mahama expressed satisfaction with his daughter’s approach to running the business, particularly her willingness to uphold the company’s commercial principles regardless of personal relationships.
He said the incident demonstrated the discipline and professionalism Nafisa brings to her role as Managing Director of Dzata Cement.
The businessman’s account highlights the growing role of the next generation in the management of his business interests and his confidence in Nafisa’s ability to lead the cement company.
