The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Customs Division has cautioned travellers entering the country against bringing more than two mobile phones, warning that additional devices could be treated as commercial imports.
The Commissioner of Customs, Aaron Kanor, said travellers who bring more than two phones into Ghana through the airport risk having the additional devices classified as commercial consignments.
“Do not bring more than two phones into the country; anything beyond that will be considered commercial importation at the airport,” Mr Kanor cautioned.
He explained that the directive is aimed at distinguishing personal effects from goods intended for commercial purposes and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
