The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has entered into a strategic partnership with MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging to enhance access to quality diagnostic healthcare and strengthen the delivery of medical services across the country.

The agreement brings together the Trust Fund’s mission of supporting the prevention and treatment of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) with the diagnostic expertise of MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging.

The collaboration is expected to improve access to timely, accurate and reliable diagnostic services, enabling early detection of diseases, supporting informed clinical decision-making and ultimately improving health outcomes for patients, particularly those living with chronic and Non-Communicable Diseases.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, described the partnership as a major milestone in the Trust Fund’s efforts to forge strategic alliances that enhance healthcare delivery.

She noted that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible to Ghanaians, stressing that accurate and timely diagnosis remains the foundation of effective treatment.

“Today marks a significant milestone as the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging formally establish a partnership that reflects our shared commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for the people of Ghana.

Accurate and timely diagnostics are the cornerstone of effective treatment, and this collaboration represents an important investment in the health and wellbeing of Ghanaians,” she said.

Mrs. Darko-Opoku also thanked the leadership of the two healthcare institutions for their confidence in the partnership and reaffirmed GMTF’s commitment to working collaboratively to tackle the growing burden of Non-Communicable Diseases in Ghana.

Chief Executive Officer of MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited, Dr. Paul Sekyere-Nyantakyi, welcomed the partnership, saying it aligns with the organisation’s mission of delivering accessible, high-quality diagnostic services to support better patient care nationwide.

He expressed confidence that the collaboration would strengthen healthcare delivery by combining innovation, expertise and strategic cooperation to meet the diagnostic needs of Ghanaians.

The three institutions reaffirmed their commitment to building a long-term partnership anchored on trust, excellence and a shared vision of improving lives through quality healthcare.

They also expressed optimism that the collaboration would create lasting value for patients while contributing significantly to the advancement of equitable, sustainable and high-quality healthcare across Ghana.
