Ivorian socialite and entrepreneur Fatim Bakayoko has reportedly died in Nigeria under circumstances that remain unclear.
Reports circulating online have linked her death to alleged complications from a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure, but the claim has been disputed by her husband.
According to reports, the husband said Bakayoko travelled from Abidjan to Nigeria for personal care and did not undergo any cosmetic surgery while there.
He reportedly confirmed that her remains are still in Nigeria as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
The official cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Bakayoko, who was based in Abidjan, was known as a beautician, entrepreneur and social media personality.
The conflicting accounts surrounding her death have generated speculation, although there is currently no official confirmation linking her death to a BBL procedure.
