A 2026 Pinktober campaign has been launched by Damang Gold Mines Limited, a subsidiary of Engineers and Planners to promote breast cancer awareness, early detection and broader conversations about women’s health and wellbeing.
Held under the theme “Beyond Breast Cancer: Our Health, Our Wellbeing!”, with the campaign message “Early Action, Better Outcomes,” the launch brought together employees and business partners to strengthen awareness of preventive healthcare and the importance of timely medical support.
The initiative highlighted the need for regular health checks, early detection of breast cancer and informed health decisions to improve outcomes.
Organisers also broadened the campaign’s focus beyond breast cancer to include menopause, cervical cancer and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
The campaign encouraged participants to seek reliable health information, engage in open conversations about women’s health and take proactive steps to protect their wellbeing.
It also emphasised the importance of timely medical attention and informed decision-making in addressing health concerns.
According to the campaign message, greater awareness and early action can help people recognise potential health issues and seek appropriate support.
The management of the mines urged the public to sustain conversations about breast cancer and other health conditions affecting women, while encouraging individuals to prioritise early detection and regular health checks.
They stressed that promoting awareness and reducing silence around sensitive health issues were important steps towards improving wellbeing.
