The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has marked its first anniversary, reaffirming its commitment to expanding support for Ghanaians in need of critical healthcare assistance.
In a statement marking the milestone, the Fund expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, described as the vision bearer of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, for his leadership and vision behind the initiative.
The Fund also acknowledged the contribution of the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, whose leadership and commitment have helped advance the initiative since its establishment.
The GMTF further commended its partners, stakeholders, healthcare workers, donors, staff and members of the public for their support and contributions towards making the vision a reality.
“One year on, we are only getting started,” the Fund said, emphasising that significant work remained to be done to reach more people and make a greater impact on healthcare delivery.
The first anniversary, according to the Fund, represents not only a moment to reflect on the journey so far but also an opportunity to renew its commitment to supporting lives and addressing critical healthcare needs across the country.
The GMTF thanked all those who had supported its work over the past year and called for continued collaboration as it enters the next phase of its operations.
