The Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF), Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, has paid a courtesy call on the Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Agyei Awatey, ahead of the Fund’s planned sensitisation tour of the region.
The visit provided an opportunity for the GMTF team to brief the Regional Minister on the Fund’s activities, including support for specialised medical treatment, patient navigation and improvements in healthcare infrastructure.
Discussions also focused on how partnerships with regional authorities could help extend the Fund’s services to more Ghanaians and improve access to specialised healthcare.
Ms Awatey welcomed the delegation and pledged her support for the planned sensitisation exercise.
The tour is expected to take the Ghana Medical Trust Fund closer to communities across the Eastern Region, providing residents with information about its work and the support available to patients.
