The new Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC), Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, has pledged to lead with innovation, inclusion, and a commitment to improving staff welfare.
Speaking at a staff durbar held in Tema to formally introduce himself, Dr. Dogbey expressed his appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, and CMC leadership for the confidence entrusted in him.

Describing CMC as a “respected leader in the cocoa industry,” Dr. Dogbey emphasized the company’s strategic role in Ghana’s economic recovery and future growth. He outlined his vision to position CMC as a global force in cocoa marketing—anchored on quality, sustainability, and stakeholder empowerment.
“We are all part of one team. Everyone matters. Everyone contributes. And everyone must feel valued,” he said, proposing a cultural shift in how staff are perceived—encouraging the term “team members” to reinforce a sense of unity and shared purpose.

Dr. Dogbey made staff morale and welfare a top priority, promising an open-door leadership style and assuring employees of a workplace free from political discrimination or victimization.
“No one will be victimized for sharing honest feedback. My doors are open to all, regardless of where you are on the org chart or your political affiliation,” he assured.

He announced plans to introduce a digital suggestion box to encourage anonymous contributions from staff and promote inclusive innovation across all levels of the organization.
“Innovation and efficiency will be at the heart of our strategy moving forward,” he said. “Let’s think boldly—whether in marketing, operations, or sustainability.”
Dr. Dogbey also challenged leadership to identify and nurture talent at all levels and pledged to improve working conditions and team member benefits.
“Together, we can build a stronger CMC and achieve remarkable goals,” he concluded.
