The Member of Parliament for Gomoa West and Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Richard Gyan-Mensah has highlighted ongoing development initiatives in roads, education, healthcare, youth employment and economic empowerment during celebrations of this year’s Gomoa Akwambo festival in the Central Region.
The MP, together with the District Chief Executive (DCE) and NDC constituency and party executives, joined traditional leaders and residents of Gomoa Kumasi, Pinanko, Dawurampong, Enyeme and Mankoadze for the festivities, which are still underway.
The celebration provided an opportunity for the MP to update Nananom and community members on development projects being undertaken to improve living conditions across the constituency.
The MP outlined interventions supported by the office, including the rehabilitation of school facilities, the drilling of boreholes to improve access to clean water, and other construction projects.
As part of efforts to support the festivities, the MP and the delegation also presented streetlights and made donations towards the celebrations.
The MP further appealed to traditional leaders and residents to continue supporting government policies and development initiatives aimed at promoting progress in Gomoa West.
The engagement formed part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between political leaders, traditional authorities and local communities in advancing development across the constituency.
The MP reaffirmed a commitment to working with stakeholders to improve infrastructure, expand opportunities and enhance the welfare of residents.
