Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has publicly endorsed her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the leader of the Kantanka family and the Kristo Asafo Church.
In a statement, Sarah Adwoa Safo said she had chosen the path of reconciliation and family unity following differences and misunderstandings that arose in the aftermath of the death of their father, the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo.
She said the time had come for the family to put their differences behind them and work together to preserve the legacy of their late father.
“I have immense love and respect for my brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, and in the spirit of honouring our father’s wishes, I publicly acknowledge and accept him as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church,” she stated.
According to her, she fully supports her brother and is prepared to work with him in the interest of the family and the church, as well as to advance the vision and legacy of their father.
Sarah Adwoa Safo stressed that Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo’s legacy was bigger than any individual and constituted a collective inheritance and responsibility for his children.
“Our father’s legacy transcends any one individual. It is a collective inheritance and a profound responsibility entrusted to us, as his children,” she said.
She urged the family to rise above their differences, preserve what their father built and ensure that his ideals continue to inspire future generations.
The former MP also called on members of the Kristo Asafo Church, the wider Kantanka family and others associated with Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo’s work to recognise and respect the unity of the family.
She described her public declaration as the beginning of a new chapter founded on reconciliation, fraternity and a shared sense of purpose.
Sarah Adwoa Safo extended her goodwill and best wishes to Israel Kwadwo Safo and her other siblings, expressing hope that the renewed commitment would bring healing, unity and strength to the family as they work together to honour and advance their father’s legacy.
