The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) is exploring new areas of cooperation with Hungary as part of efforts to strengthen specialised healthcare delivery in Ghana.
The initiative is expected to focus on improving access to medical equipment, technology and infrastructure needed to enhance the capacity of Ghana’s health system.
GMTF Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, held discussions with the Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, Tamas Endre Feher, on opportunities to deepen collaboration between the two countries in the healthcare sector.
During the meeting, Ambassador Feher expressed his commitment to supporting the GMTF by connecting the Trust Fund with Hungarian manufacturers of medical and hospital equipment.
The proposed cooperation is expected to facilitate access to specialised equipment and technical expertise while supporting efforts to expand healthcare capacity in Ghana.
The discussions form part of the GMTF’s broader efforts to mobilise partnerships and resources to improve specialised healthcare and ensure more patients can access quality treatment within the country.
The collaboration with Hungarian manufacturers could also provide opportunities for technology transfer and strengthen Ghana’s capacity to deliver advanced medical services locally.
