The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced filing fees for candidates seeking to contest positions in the party’s upcoming regional executive elections.
Under the fee schedule, candidates for the regional chairmanship position will pay GH¢50,000, while vice chairpersons, secretaries and organisers will each pay GH¢30,000.
The filing fees for the various positions are as follows:
Regional Chairman: GH¢50,000
Vice Chairman: GH¢30,000
Secretary: GH¢30,000
Deputy Secretary: GH¢10,000
Organizer: GH¢30,000
Deputy Organizer: GH¢10,000
Treasurer: GH¢20,000
Deputy Treasurer: GH¢10,000
Communications Officer: GH¢20,000
Deputy Communications Officer: GH¢10,000
Zongo Caucus Coordinator: GH¢15,000
Youth Organizer: GH¢15,000
Deputy Youth Organizer: GH¢10,000
Women’s Organizer: GH¢15,000
Deputy Women’s Organizer: GH¢10,000
The party said all payments must be made online through its nomination portal, with payments accepted through all mobile money networks, Visa and Mastercard.
It said bank payments and bankers’ drafts would not be accepted.
The NDC further announced that nomination forms would cost GH¢1,000.
It added that female applicants and persons with disabilities (PWDs) would each receive a 50 per cent discount on the applicable filing fees.
The party stressed that both nomination and filing fees are non-refundable.
The announcement forms part of preparations for the NDC’s internal elections to select its regional executive officers.
