The Seventh-day Adventist Church has declared this coming Sabbath as a special day of prayer and support for a member of the church, Sister Salomey Awiti Barfoh.
In a message to members, the church called on the congregation to unite in faith and pray for Sister Salomey, while offering her love and support during the period.
The church cited James 5:16 from the Bible: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”
Members have been encouraged to use the Sabbath to lift Sister Salomey up in prayer and stand with her in solidarity.
The church said the initiative was anchored on the values of faith, love and unity, under the theme: “Together in Prayer. Stronger in Faith. United in Love.”
