One chamber-and-hall self-contained unit was completely destroyed after a domestic fire broke out at Accra New Town near GCB on Monday, September 14, 2026.
Firefighters from the Circle Fire Station responded to the incident after receiving an alert through Fire Master Control at 8:37 a.m.

The crew was dispatched at 8:38 a.m. and arrived at the scene while the fire was still in progress.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said firefighters successfully brought the fire under control at 8:51 a.m. and completely extinguished it at 9:22 a.m.
Four chamber-and-hall units were salvaged, but one unit and its contents were totally destroyed by the fire.

Despite the extent of the damage to the affected property, no casualties were recorded.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established and remains under investigation.
Authorities have not indicated what may have triggered the blaze as investigations continue.
