The Ministry of Transport has convened key stakeholders for the national dissemination of the Road Traffic (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1153) and the Road Traffic Regulations, 2026 (L.I. 2519).
The exercise forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen road transport governance and improve compliance with laws and regulations governing road use in Ghana.
It also seeks to promote greater awareness and understanding of the new legal framework among stakeholders within the road transport sector.
Speaking at the vent in Accra, the sector Minister joined by her Deputy, Jospeh Nikpe said effective implementation of the amended law and regulations would contribute to improved road safety and help address challenges associated with road traffic management.
The stakeholder engagement is therefore expected to support coordinated efforts among relevant institutions and transport sector players to ensure compliance and enhance safety on Ghana’s roads.
