Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Baba Sadiq, has held discussions with Vietnam’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Le Viet Hoang, on opportunities to deepen bilateral relations and strengthen economic cooperation between Ghana and Vietnam.
The engagement formed part of efforts aligned with President John Dramani Mahama’s vision of using bilateral cooperation to advance Ghana’s economic development.
The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in Science, Technology and Innovation, agriculture and agribusiness, while exploring practical partnerships that could contribute to economic transformation and shared prosperity.
The two diplomats also explored opportunities to increase Vietnamese investment in Ghana, particularly in cashew processing, steel manufacturing and other strategic sectors of the economy.
Baba Sadiq said Ghana remained open for business and was committed to using economic diplomacy to build partnerships capable of attracting investment, creating jobs and expanding opportunities for Ghanaians.
He said deeper cooperation with Vietnam could provide new avenues for investment and knowledge exchange while supporting Ghana’s broader economic transformation agenda.
