Aspiring National Youth Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Okai Mintah, has paid a courtesy call on former National Youth Organizer, Snr. Comrade Ludwig Akpene Hlodze, as part of his engagements ahead of the party’s upcoming internal elections.
The visit, according to Mr. Mintah, was to formally inform Mr. Hlodze of his decision to contest for the position and to seek his counsel as he prepares to prosecute his campaign.
Mr. Mintah said he considered it important to consult Mr. Hlodze because of his experience as a former occupant of the position he is seeking.
“As a distinguished former occupant of the office I seek, I found it both prudent and respectful to share my vision with him and to seek his counsel on how best to prosecute this agenda,” he said.
He expressed appreciation to Mr. Hlodze for warmly receiving him and members of his team, as well as for the guidance, support and insights offered during the engagement.
Mr. Mintah’s consultation with the former National Youth Organizer forms part of his broader efforts to engage experienced party leaders and stakeholders as he seeks to build support for his bid to lead the NDC’s youth wing.
He is expected to continue his engagements with party members and stakeholders across the country as he presents his vision and agenda for the youth of the NDC.
