Former Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr. K.B. Tandoh, has hosted aspirants contesting the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) Asunafo North Constituency executive elections slated for today, urging them to maintain unity before and after the polls.
The meeting, held at his residence in Goaso, brought together all 29 aspirants and members of the Constituency Election Committee for a breakfast engagement aimed at promoting a peaceful and united contest.
Dr. Tandoh encouraged the candidates to run a clean campaign and prioritise the long-term interests of the party, stressing the need for cohesion as the NPP prepares for the 2028 general elections.
As part of his support for the candidates, Dr. Tandoh redeemed his pledge to pay the filing fees for all 29 aspirants and provided equal financial assistance to each contestant to support their participation in the electoral process.
He also donated GHS5,000 to the Constituency Election Committee to assist with transportation arrangements for delegates during the elections.
In addition, Dr. Tandoh presented a new television set to the Asunafo North Constituency office, which he previously renovated in April this year.
He said his support was aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroots level and demonstrating his readiness to work with whichever leadership team emerges after the elections.
Dr. Tandoh expressed hope for a united Asunafo North NPP, with a shared commitment to reclaiming the constituency’s parliamentary seat and supporting the party’s broader political objectives ahead of 2028
