The Students Loan Trust Fund has announced that its online application portal for the 2025/2026 academic year will officially shut on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, urging all tertiary students and members of the public still in the process to complete their submissions before the deadline.
In a public notice on Monday, July 6, 2026, the Fund emphasized urgency for pending applicants, noting that those at different stages of registration should finalize their applications without delay.
“The application portal will be closed to ensure timely completion of disbursement for the 2025/2026 academic year and adequately prepare for the 2026/2027 academic year.”
The institution also provided an update on disbursements already made. It stated that a total of GH¢170,493,187.50 has been released under the regular student loan scheme, benefiting 47,988 students nationwide.
Additionally, GH¢17,205,184.13 has been disbursed under the Students Loan Plus initiative to 1,426 students, including 610 law students, covering full tuition fees paid directly to their respective tertiary institutions.
The Fund reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to higher education financing, stressing its focus on timely support for Ghanaian students pursuing tertiary education.
