Okai Mintah, an aspiring National Youth Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), has officially declared his intention to contest for the party’s National Youth Organizer position when nominations are opened.
Mintah announced his ambition during a meeting with the NDC Deputy Regional Youth Organizers Caucus held at the June 10 House on Wednesday, August 5.
The engagement followed an earlier meeting with all Regional Organizers last week as part of his consultations with key party stakeholders ahead of the party’s internal elections.
According to Mintah, the meeting provided an opportunity to express his appreciation to the Deputy Regional Youth Organizers for their dedication and continued service to both the NDC and the government.
He also used the occasion to formally seek the caucus’s endorsement and support for his bid to lead the party’s youth wing at the national level.
“I officially declared my intention and sought their support to run for National Youth Organizer as soon as party nominations are opened,” he said.
Mintah, who is also the board chairman of National Service Authority (NSA) expressed optimism about securing the backing of the party’s youth leadership across the country, stating that he looks forward to continued collaboration with the caucus in advancing what he described as a shared vision for strengthening the NDC’s youth front.
