National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Youth Organiser aspirant, Okai Mintah, has called for a well-organised, disciplined and influential Youth Wing ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a statement accompanying his campaign materials, Mr Mintah said the NDC’s youth wing must be strengthened to effectively contribute to the party’s electoral objectives.
He said the 2028 election would require a youth structure that is organised, powerful and prepared to play a decisive role in the party’s campaign.
“Election 2028 requires a Youth Wing that is organised, powerful, disciplined, ready and impossible to ignore,” he declared.
Mr Mintah’s message forms part of his campaign to lead the NDC’s Youth Wing, with emphasis on strengthening the organisation and mobilising young people for the party’s future electoral activities.
His call comes as the NDC prepares for its internal elections and looks ahead to the 2028 general election, where the party will seek to retain power.
He has previously positioned his campaign around greater youth participation, organisation and empowerment, arguing that the youth wing must be equipped to effectively engage and mobilise young people at the grassroots.
Using the campaign slogan #WithImmediateEffect, Mr Mintah said the transformation of the Youth Wing must begin now rather than closer to the 2028 elections.
