The leadership of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has paid a working visit to its Ashanti Regional office in Kumasi as part of a nationwide engagement aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration, interacting with staff, and outlining the Agency’s vision for expanding employment opportunities for Ghanaian youth.

The delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer of the YEA, Malik Basintale, and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Operations, Abubakari Abdul Saana Kudus.

Addressing staff during the visit, Mr. Kudus stressed the importance of discipline, professionalism and punctuality, urging employees to remain committed to delivering efficient and quality services.

He encouraged staff to uphold high standards in the discharge of their duties as the Agency continues to implement programmes aimed at tackling youth unemployment.

For his part, Mr. Basintale commended the Ashanti Regional team for its dedication and hard work, noting that their efforts have contributed significantly to the Agency’s strong beneficiary enrolment figures.

He highlighted the successful implementation of the Community Medical First Responders (CMFR) module, describing it as a landmark initiative and the first programme of its kind within Ghana’s employment sector.

The YEA Chief Executive also announced plans to launch the Jobs Connect App, a digital platform designed to register beneficiaries of the Agency’s skills training programmes and connect them with employment opportunities across the country based on labour market demand.

As part of the visit, Mr. Basintale presented skills training equipment to the Ashanti Regional Director for distribution to programme beneficiaries.

He said the initiative reflects the Agency’s commitment to empowering young people with practical tools and skills to promote sustainable livelihoods and improve their employment prospects.
