President John Dramani Mahama has paid a visit to former President John Agyekum Kufuor at his residence to check on his well-being and discuss national and international issues.
In a post on Facebook, Pres. Mahama said he visited the former president on Monday afternoon to find out how he was doing and exchange views on matters of national and international importance.
“I passed by the residence of President JA Kufuor this afternoon to check on him and find out how he’s doing and also discuss some national and international issues,” he wrote.
The post was accompanied by photographs of the two leaders during the visit.
The meeting brought together two former political rivals who have both served as presidents of Ghana, with Mr. Kufuor leading the country from 2001 to 2009 and Pres. Mahama serving as president from 2012 to 2017 before returning to office in January 2025.
