The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has called on its members to show solidarity with Larry Alan Dogbey, Editor of The Herald newspaper, ahead of his appearance before the High Court today.
In a notice to members, PRINPAG said Mr. Dogbey is scheduled to appear before the High Court (General Jurisdiction 4) on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 8:00am, where the court will hear his application for bail pending appeal.
The hearing will be presided over by Justice Isaac Addo and follows a seven-day custodial sentence imposed on the journalist after he was convicted for contempt of court on June 25, 2026.
PRINPAG urged members who are available to attend the court proceedings as a show of support and solidarity with their colleague during what it described as a difficult period.
