Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu and Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has joined the people of Buipe in the Savannah Region to celebrate the Buipe Damba Festival, BUDAFEST 2026.
The festival, held over the weekend, brought together traditional and religious leaders, government officials, Members of Parliament and other distinguished guests to celebrate the cultural heritage of the Buipe Traditional Area.
Among the dignitaries present were the Special Guest of Honour, Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak; Deputy Minister for Tourism, Yusif Jajah; Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Anthony Kwasi Sarpong; and several Members of Parliament from across the country.
The celebration also attracted representatives of government, traditional authorities, religious leaders and other stakeholders.
Mr Jinapor expressed appreciation to the Paramount Chief of Buipe, His Royal Majesty Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, for his leadership and efforts towards preserving the cultural heritage of the area.
He also commended the Buipewura for promoting unity and supporting the development of the Buipe Traditional Area.
The Buipe Damba Festival is an important cultural celebration that brings the people together to showcase their traditions, strengthen communal bonds and promote the heritage of the area.
