The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced the schedule for the medical screening of prospective pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj.
According to a press release dated October 7, 2026, the screening exercise will be conducted in Kumasi, Accra and Bawku, with prospective pilgrims required to report to their assigned centres on the dates and at the times allocated to them.
The PAOG has urged prospective pilgrims to strictly adhere to their assigned dates, centres and time slots to ensure an orderly screening process.
All screening centres will close at 3:00 p.m. daily, and pilgrims have been advised to arrive early with all required documents to complete the process on time.
In Kumasi, the screening exercise will take place at the Kumasi Central Mosque, beginning on October 10, 2026, with pilgrims under the Al-Balad Hajj agency scheduled for screening through October 14.
Other agencies, including Al-Noor, Manugah, MMTA, UMTA, Al-Ifada, Al-Fafat, Al-Qibla, Ashkar, Mende, D.B. Zaboura and Al-Nusorat, have also been assigned dates throughout October and November.
The schedule indicates that there will be no screening on October 18, October 25 and November 1.
Screening for direct pilgrims is scheduled for October 27 and 28, while additional dates have been allocated through November 10.
In Accra, screening will be conducted at the Hajj Village from October 15, 2026.
The schedule covers several Hajj agencies, including Duapaye, Labbaika, Home Today, Al-Nusorat, Tofa, Nizam, First Class, MMTA, MTA, UMTA, Al-Ifada, Masfala, Ashkar, Al-Noor, Manugah, Abusua, Al Taquwa, Al-Waziri and Zaituniya.
Al-Balad pilgrims are scheduled for screening from October 24, with additional screening dates running into November.
The Accra schedule also identifies October 18, October 25, November 1 and November 8 as days on which no screening will take place.
Screening for direct pilgrims is scheduled for November 4 and 5.
The PAOG said the medical screening exercise is intended to ensure that prospective pilgrims complete the necessary medical assessment ahead of the 2027 Hajj.
The Medical Directorate of the Hajj Board Secretariat has called for the cooperation of all prospective pilgrims to ensure the exercise is conducted smoothly.
