Francis William Kwame Nyarko Appiah has been cleared to contest for an executive member position in the National Democratic Congress’s Nhyiaeso constituency.
Mr Appiah, who will appear as number 19 on the ballot, was vetted as part of the party’s internal constituency executive elections.
He has previously held roles within the NDC at branch level, including serving as a polling agent in 2016, branch communication officer in 2018, and branch secretary in 2022.
While at the Presbyterian University Ghana, Kumasi Campus, he served as organiser for the party’s Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN). He is currently a student at the Ghana School of Law.
Outside politics, Mr Appiah has a background in agriculture. He holds a Master of Science degree in Agribusiness Management and has worked in agricultural extension, including in Ghana’s cocoa sector.
He also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Presbyterian University Ghana and is pursuing professional legal training.
Party delegates in Nhyiaeso, a constituency in the Ashanti Region, are expected to vote to elect new constituency executives as part of the NDC’s internal reorganisation.
