Madam Betty Krosbi Mensah has officially picked up nomination forms to contest for the position of National Women’s Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), pledging to strengthen the party’s Women’s Wing through continuous development, unity and increased leadership opportunities for women.
Announcing her decision, Mensah said her ambition was driven by a commitment to supporting the women whose dedication and hard work continue to contribute to the growth and success of the party.
She stressed that women deserved greater support, opportunities and encouragement to develop their leadership potential, adding that her vision was to build a strong and organised Women’s Wing that serves members beyond election periods.
Mensah outlined a vision focused on transforming the Women’s Wing from a structure largely engaged in election mobilisation into one that prioritises continuous organisation, development and leadership preparation.
She said her agenda would include moving from occasional programmes to sustained development initiatives and creating more opportunities for women to prepare for leadership positions within the party.
According to her, strengthening the Women’s Wing requires unity, mutual support and a shared commitment to empowering women across all regions.
The NDC National Women’s Organizer hopeful said she was ready to listen to party women, learn from their experiences and work with them to address their concerns.
She expressed confidence that empowering women would not only strengthen the Women’s Wing but also contribute to the party’s long-term growth and political future.
Mensah called on party members to support her ambition, urging them to unite behind her vision of building a more effective and inclusive organisation.
She is campaigning under the message “Renew, Reorganize, and Empower,” which she says reflects her commitment to strengthening the Women’s Wing and creating more opportunities for women to grow and lead.
