The newly elected National Officers of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by National Chairman John Boadu, have paid a courtesy call on the party’s 2028 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The visit was aimed at reaffirming the commitment of the new national leadership to the party’s task ahead and strengthening collaboration towards the 2028 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the newly elected officers, Mr Boadu assured Dr Bawumia of their determination to unite the party, energise the grassroots and build a formidable political organisation capable of securing victory in the 2028 elections.
He said the new leadership would prioritise unity and grassroots mobilisation as part of efforts to position the NPP for a strong comeback and secure a significant parliamentary majority.
The meeting forms part of the new national executives’ engagements following their election as they begin preparations to reorganise and strengthen the party ahead of the 2028 polls.
The NPP has identified unity, grassroots mobilisation and organisational strengthening as key priorities as it seeks to return to power in 2028 under the leadership of Dr Bawumia.
