Demonstrators under the “Women’s Voices Matter” movement have called on President John Dramani Mahama to intervene in the continued detention of Salomey Awiti Baffoe and secure her release.
The protesters made the demand during a demonstration focused on women’s rights, freedom of expression and fundamental freedoms.
Chanting “Mahama, free Salomey! Mahama, free Salomey!”, the demonstrators directed their appeal specifically at the President, urging him to pay attention to Baffoe’s situation.
