Former Kumbungu Member of Parliament and Trans Africa Tourism and Unity Campaign leader, Ras Mubarak, has released his personal predictions for the outcome of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) national executive elections scheduled for October 3, 2026, in Kumasi.
In a Facebook post ahead of the elections, Mr Mubarak said he would be watching the contest over the weekend and outlined the candidates he expects to emerge victorious in some of the key positions.
His predictions are:
National Chairman: Boakye Agyarko
First Vice Chairman: Nana Akomea
Second Vice Chairman: Mustapha Abdul-Hamid
General Secretary: Eugene Boakye Antwi or Justin Frimpong Kodua, which he described as a “tight” contest
National Women’s Organiser: Mavis Hawa Koomson
Mr Mubarak concluded his post by inviting readers to agree or disagree with his projections.
The NPP is scheduled to elect its national officers on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The election will cover positions including National Chairman, Vice Chairpersons, General Secretary, National Treasurer, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser, National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser and National Communications Director.
Four candidates are contesting the National Chairmanship position: former General Secretary John Boadu, former National Chairman Paul Afoko, former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko and former Greater Accra Regional Chairman Sammy Crabbe.
The General Secretary race features Eugene Boakye Antwi, incumbent Justin Frimpong Kodua, Sylvester Tetteh and Charles Dwamena.
