The Black Stars have resumed training ahead of their second Group C match in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against The Gambia.
Carlos Queiroz’s side returned to the training ground on Saturday, a day after arriving in Ghana from Bouaké, where they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Côte d’Ivoire in their opening qualifier on Thursday.
The team’s first session focused on recovery and preparations for the upcoming home fixture.
Players who featured in the match against Côte d’Ivoire underwent recovery exercises, while the rest of the squad participated in full tactical drills under the guidance of Coach Carlos Queiroz and his technical team.
Ghana will host The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, as the Black Stars look to recover from their opening-day defeat.
The match will be another competitive test for Queiroz, who is seeking his first win in charge of the Black Stars in the qualifiers.
The team is scheduled to hold its final training session on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s encounter.
Ghana will be seeking maximum points on home soil to revive its campaign in Group C.
