Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has held discussions with the leadership of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and leading industrialists ahead of the preparation of the 2027 budget.
The meeting formed part of consultations with key stakeholders as government prepares the next national budget and considers measures to support Ghana’s industrial sector and broader economic transformation.
Dr Ato Forson said government is committed to sustaining the gains made in economic stability while creating an environment that encourages businesses to invest and expand.
“I told them to invest with confidence. We will sustain the gains and move Ghana from stability to transformation,” he said.
The Finance Minister further described the current period as the beginning of what he called Ghana’s “golden era”, signalling government’s ambition to build on recent economic progress and accelerate growth.
He explained that the engagement with the AGI and industrial leaders is expected to provide input into policies and measures to be outlined in the 2027 budget.
